We recently completed a full refurbishment at a beautiful house in Chiswick. The job involved the renovation of two square bay windows and a large stained glass window.
The sashes were removed and stripped back to timber and then fully restored, the sash boxes were restored on site. Rot repairs were carried out and new timber sills were fitted. The sashes were reshaped to fit the unsquared sash boxes and the weights were adjusted so the sashes hung correctly.
The sashes and sash boxes were primed, stain blocked, undercoated and a microporous weather shield gloss was applied to the exterior surfaces. The internal surfaces of the first-floor windows were finished with Farrow & Balls ‘Wimborne White’ Eggshell. The ground floor windows were finished internally with an Antique Pine Silk Varnish.
These windows are now ready for winter and years to come.
Our client was delighted with the result of the project. Giving us a 10 out of 10 on Checkatrade. Here is a snippet of what they had to say:
Lovely guys. When the first stain came out too dark he agreed and re-sanded and re-stained with no extra cost - an entire extra days labour -- Dan wanted it right as much as we did - would use again in a second.
