Richmond Residence Sash Window Transformation

Project Overview

In February 2024, our team undertook a significant renovation project in Richmond, involving the replacement of 10 outdated sashes with modern double-glazed counterparts. Additionally, we undertook the restoration of the original frames. The primary objective was to enhance the energy efficiency, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of the property while preserving its historical charm.

Project Assessment and Completion

The project commenced with a thorough assessment of the existing sash windows and frames to gauge the extent of restoration required and to ensure a precise fit for the new installations. Our skilled craftsmen removed the old sashes while taking care to preserve the integrity of the surrounding frames.  We installed 10 new double-glazed sashes, meticulously crafted to meet the specific dimensions and design requirements of the property. The new sashes not only provided superior thermal insulation but also offered enhanced noise reduction.

One of the most critical aspects of the project was the restoration of the original frames. Our team repaired any damages, addressed issues such as rot and decay, and meticulously refinished the frames to their former glory. This process ensured that the charm and character of the property were preserved while benefiting from the modern functionality of double-glazed windows.
